Habitance — Society Operating System

THE SOCIETY OPERATING SYSTEM

For Indian housing societies with 10–1,000 members.

Not a replacement for people. A structure around them.

You don't need to start with another list of features. Start with the gaps between the people, records and applications you already have.

Keep your existing tools in the conversation.

Accounting, gate and resident tools have their own jobs. Explore where HOS oversight and governance would fit around your current arrangements. Technical compatibility and integrations need confirming; none is assumed here.

Look beyond assigning and closing a ticket.

A committee needs to understand why a decision was made, who has authority and what remains to be followed through. HOS includes work priorities, meeting structure and handover views—not just a complaint inbox.

Start with one operating challenge.

Choose a matter your society keeps chasing: a meeting decision, responsibility that changes hands, or a handover record. Use it to test the product's connections and decide what an implementation should cover first.

Is a management agency required?

No mandatory agency layer is part of this website's adoption path. HOS is presented as standalone software supporting the committee and manager; service arrangements remain a separate decision.

What should we ask to see?

Use one real, non-confidential example. Ask to see the evidence, review, responsibility, follow-through and later retrieval that matter to you. Don't assume those connections from a dashboard image.
